If you have lost your Airtel SIM card or it has been stolen, it's essential to block it immediately to prevent any unauthorized usage and potential misuse. Airtel provides a straightforward process to block your SIM card quickly. Here's how you can do it:


Call Customer Care: Dial Airtel's customer care helpline number 121 from any Airtel number or 9810012345 from any non-Airtel number. Follow the automated voice instructions to connect to a customer care executive.


Inform about the Loss/Theft: Once connected to the customer care executive, inform them about the loss or theft of your Airtel SIM card. Provide your mobile number and any other necessary details they may ask for.


Identity Verification: To ensure security, the customer care executive may ask you to verify some personal information related to the account, such as your full name, address, and last recharge amount.


Request for SIM Block: After successful verification, request the customer care executive to block your Airtel SIM card immediately.


Note the Complaint Reference Number: The customer care executive will provide you with a complaint reference number for future reference and tracking purposes.


Collect New SIM: Visit the nearest Airtel store or authorized retailer with valid ID proof and a passport-sized photograph to get a new SIM card. You will retain your existing mobile number.


Blocking your Airtel SIM card promptly ensures the safety of your personal information and prevents unauthorized usage. Remember to keep your complaint reference number safe, as it may be required in case of any further queries or to follow up on the blocking process.
